Personal conflicts occur in many forms. They do vary with their seriousness. Conflicts come up out of the long term choices we make and also the instantaneous decisions we make on a daily basis. The way we solve them really depends on our integrity as well as our character. Personal conflict mitigation and resolution is crucial to every one of us.

It is important to know the various sources of conflicts before establishing ways of dealing with them. The first one is in choosing whether to take responsibility. You must decide whether you will take a blamed which means that you shall suffer the consequences which come with the blame. You can also have problems with ethics. Vengeance can another source. You could have difficulties in trying to reconnect with a person who offended you.

Many people get conflicts in trying to make decisions that are big and are going to change our life. We also have challenges when deciding whether or not to engage in activities that may not be morally right but are done by our peers. We get destructed for choosing not to do so. We are supposed to know how to lessen and handle personal conflicts. These conflicts can lead to health problems if we do not manage them properly.

It is advisable to write down feelings. This should be done in a journal and kept safe for privacy. In case of conflicts, an individual should create a personal time. This is the time to meditate and engage in an activity that one loves best. This helps to ease a person. An individual may for example take a walk in a quiet place listening to music.

Teach yourself to respond to situations that you face rather than react. This helps you to avoid arguing. You must not always win an argument. Give in at times. You should also learn to be a good listener who lets others express their feelings. You should also avoid doing something that will draw too much attention to you like talking too much about yourself. Also manage your emotional response. Where there is a need, do not hesitate from seeing a counselor for advice.

We should understand our personal conflict style as it will help us in the improvement of the ways we use to solve difficult situations. The styles refer to how we behave when we are faced with challenging situations. Competition is such one style. This is for some of us who are aggressive and defensive when conflict arises. It helps when quick decisions require to be made.

Another one is collaboration management style. One may use this by bringing people together so as to look for a solution. In such a situation, everyone is a winner, and is free to air views. Cooperation is highly encouraged in this style. It satisfies everyone. Avoidance is also another style. Individuals choose not to engage in arguments since they lack confidence.

Lastly, accommodation is another style. Here, you put the need of others ahead of others. This is to encourage cooperation from others. You are ready to take orders from your fellow members. This is when you want to enhance peace with others.
