When it comes to predicting the future, there remains a great deal of skepticism. For, while palmist and tarot card readers claim to have such abilities, there has yet to be valid proof. Whereas, many early Prophecies about jesus do seem to hold some validity when it comes to proof in New Testament writings.
Like with palm and card readers, there still remains a great deal of disbelief, especially when it comes to the Bible. For, first an individual must believe the writings in the Old Testament are true and correct based on an actual timeline of events. Whereas, Christians often believe by faith alone that the New Testament gospels relay the actual actions and messages of Jesus Christ.
To prove such odds, a professor asked six hundred students to determine the probability factor. As the result was about eight out of four hundred, the odds proved to be one in 1,500 million that any one person whom having lived up to the present time could have fulfilled so many prophecies.
Regardless of odds, with Jesus being Jesus, most Christians still believe that Christ has fulfilled a number of such prophecies. Still, any proof of such findings is often based on faith without scientific proof. As such, there still remains skepticism when it comes to information provided in the Bible.
There appears to be a connection with regards to some predictions which appear to have been fulfilled, this is not always the case. For, there are are only a few people whom have been able to prove that any earlier prophecies have come to pass. With the first being, that the Messiah would come from the tribe of Judah as portrayed in the first book of the Bible, Genesis, Chapter 49, Verse 10.
While still somewhat amazing, it was not until 1500 years later that the prophecy would be proved to have been fulfilled. With one of the most important predictions being that the Messiah, or the man known as Christ would be descended from King David. While this is the case, it should be noted that Orthodox Jews and Christians differ when it comes to Christ being the Messiah. For, while Christians believe the Messiah to refer to Jesus, orthodox Jews believe the Messiah is yet to come.
While these two predictions are most likely the most popular and well known, there still remains a great deal of disbelief as to either having been fulfilled. For, it is difficult for some to understand how if Christ is the son of God, the individual could also be a descendant of David.
To better understand Biblical time and associated prophecies, it is often recommended that individuals seek out knowledge in a number of publications related to the history of the time. In doing so, individuals can then determine whether predictions in the Old Testament have been fulfilled based on an actual timeline of history along with, if and when necessary, faith.
