Scrolling a menu is not as quick as setting a dial. The time between pictures was also slower than past models. We took it in the pool the next day and noticed it had water in the battery compartment, even with the latch set to lock. Luckily we went back to the room and I had one day left to request a return with Amazon, and since it's defective they paid the return shipping. My vacation was altered by the fact that the camera didn't do what it said it could do and I will never be able to capture some of the memories I lost due to a defective product. As it stands now, Olympus has lost my patronage for any of their products in the future.
So, two days before my trip I returned this camera and bought a Sony TX5. The waterproof housing for the Olympus 6020 that makes it waterproof up to 120ft (for scuba) costs $339.00 while the waterproof housing for the Sony TX5, making it waterproof up to 120ft is $149.00 - and I got 15% off by buying the camera itself. Overall this camera is awesome, I took it white water rafting and it held up great (I didn't submerge it but it definitely got wet and bumped around). It is a great camera for outdoor lovers who don't want to lug a huge camera around, are disappointed with cellphone pic quality, and want to take pictures everywhere they go. He broke his brand new camera during a sand storm, so he needed one that would not only survive that, but also himself (he's not so great with keeping cameras alive). I've been playing around with it and so far it seems to be a great camera.
My rating does not reflect the camera itself, just the fact that Olympus apparently decided to ignore a significant and growing percentage of their market, Mac users. I expect more from Olympus. It seems easy to use. I have not read the manual yet, but I will do it before going snorkeling. Ok, I thought I did a lot of research here, looking at quality of image and quietness of the video zoom, etc. I saw this on some of the best online camera review sites, and of course, the waterproofing and durability.
This is a handy feature I appreciate, but if I am taking fast moving action shots, this feature can be turned off in shooting menu 2, "REC VIEW." Once performed in accordance with the manual, photos can be taken immediately after one another.

Spend some time with the manual to understand its menus and order of operation before taking any high-value pictures. The quality of the video and photos was much better than expected...we ended up leaving the DSLR in our room most of the trip. We use this camera for our vacations.
I finally decided to get it and ended up being very disappointed. The response was way too slow. The memory card that was supposed to fit in the camera didn't slide down all the way. In all, I would not suggest this camera to anyone who enjoys sending in their camera often, and enjoys not knowing which setting to use.
The only way to get it to work again, was to pull the battery out, put it back in and turn it on again.
