The ball of light was reported to often occur during a lightning storm and a strong mind in a row can create a magnetic field is large.
Peers and Alexander Joseph Kendl from the University of Innsbruck, Austria, wondering whether this luminous ball actually hallucinations caused magnetic stimulation on visual cortex of the brain or the retina of the eye.
In previous experiments, some researchers have used field magenetis strong and rapidly changing medical machine called Transcranial magnetic stimulator (TMS). Magnetic engine is strong enough to induce electric currents in brain cells without harming humans.
Magnetic fields in the cortex of the brain can cause vision can see objects the subject line or discs. When the focus is moving in the visual cortex, subjects reported seeing the light displacement.
In the paper they appear on the site physics research arXiv.org, Peer and Kendl argue that fields of magnetic makes lighting that has the same effect when using the machine TMS in humans.
Research to get a convincing argument that some ball shine as reported, is the encouragement of halusiniasi, says John Abrahamson, a chemist and the ball was shining at the University of Canterbury, Zealand New, who did not participate in this study.
"But I can not believe that most of the reported images are shining the ball due to the influence of the brain," Abrahamson said via email.
