Where does confidence come from?
Is confidence something we are born with or is it something that we can build into our lives over time? While it does appear that some people in this world are born with more confidence than others, I think that confidence is a character trait that we can instill in ourselves over a period of time.
Perhaps you have none in your life at the moment, or perhaps you just desire some more because you know exactly how much it would aid you with making choices. But really, where does this confidence come from?
Focus on momentum builders. The momentum builders are those little daily actions that many people can pass over as not important. However, if you focus on these little daily actions and do them with intention, they help you build momentum, integrity, and confidence. When you focus on the details of life that others look over, you are separating yourself from the crowd.
Often, going in any direction is better than not moving at all. You start to say, "Okay, I was capable of doing these things and brought these positive habits into my life, what else am I capable of?" You see, when you actually nail the little things, the larger responsibilities become more doable. It's when we try to go for the gigantic goal without having the integrity of concentrating on the little things that actually set us up for failing.
So sweat the tiny stuff. What if you fail? Take a step back and refocus on what you can attain, and try and try again. This is a pretty simple path towards success if you think about it. In fact, the quantum leap is exactly what you should not be focusing on.
Forget about the quantum leap and trying to change everything in your life all at once. Instead, take small daily actions towards your success. Eventually, you will reach your goal.
Isn't that a much better way to live life?
So try something new and bring your vision back down to the micro level.
