The camera is small enough to slip in a pocket or buy a floatable wristband for serious water pictures. Didn't like the fact you had to open the camera up to charge it, so have gone out and ordered a separate battery charger.
Hey, if you have it on macro, of course the picture will be blurry, if you're taking a picture of the sunset...learn how the camera works before giving it a horrible review. The pictures come out great, as long as you have all the right settings.
The biggest issues I had were with the awful picture quality, the panorama being difficult to operate, and not being able to control settings such as image size. The user manual was NOT helpful, except to tell me that I couldn't change the settings I wanted to change. It locked up wile loading and shut down but the computer still showed it as installing so I had to restart my computer, did the same thing after restart. I went from taking pictures on my Droid to this little baby so it was quite the jump. One thing I don't like, functionality-wise, is that when you take a picture and the review of the image pops up, you can't delete it at that same time. You have to go into playback mode then delete the picture, then go back into shooting mode. Here are some cons just for your info; most might be adjustment issues since I'm so familiar with these cameras. And don't be discouraged you can always right more about the bad than the good.
Panorama was difficult to make work right. It is only a mediocre camera. I've tested the shock absorbing capabilities as it falls out of my pocket while sitting down onto tile floor below. No damage noted.
It took the company about 1 month to send me a charger and that isn't it so now I have to send it in and that sucks. There were some very specific things that I was looking for in a new camera.
Have a 16G memory and that works fine. The Shutter got jammed by a grain of sand on our first ocean dive. This is the second Olympus Tough that I have own. The first one died after 3 years of taking it to the beach and eventually the seals give up and let water in (sea water). The down load of photos and movies was difficult and would not mate with the PC documents files. The battery time was OK and the photos were good.
The first was a 7mp that unfortunately went missing. I purchased these cameras to carry with me pretty much full time when I'm out and about so I'll not miss a "photo of opportunity."
Welcome to the reality of point and shoot digital cameras where shutter lag can vary by tenths of a second between models, oh please! It's all good! The pictures have always turned out great, and the waterproof / shockproof casing on it makes it the perfect camera for a klutz like me. The 720p video is great also, with pretty good audio when played off a computer.

As you can figure from the above, the issue that I had with the camera is that once it was brought into the water, it leaked and was destroyed. WINDSHIELD SCRATCH REPAIR.
