It can help keep you balanced and focused during the day. However, it is not something that is going to be a permanent solutions, so this is something to bear in mind.

Others will go with the flow. They will work according to the needs and requirements of the patient. They will work according to the personality and the age as well.

Goals are good for this type of thing. However, a person has to keep this in context. Setting goals too high is not going to be practical. It will mean that you have more pressure in your life. If you don't achieve these goals, you will feel a sense of failure in your life. This may be a pattern for you and this can make things worse. You need to go slowly with baby steps, especially in the initial stages.
