Discovering The Apostle Paul Teachings And Letters

By George Baker

To comprehend the concepts of early Christianity, there are several places those interested can do so. One of which is a free class "Early Christianity, The Letters of Paul, " which is a free online HarvardX course offered through the edX dot org website. For, the course offers a great deal of information on The Apostle Paul Teachings, transformation and related letters which the apostle wrote during that time.

The apostle did not start out as a Christian. Paul was actually born into the Jewish faith and became a Pharisee. It was only after a mystical vision of Christ, having risen from the dead that the Jewish Pharisee became to believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. A belief which many believe to be the first transformation of a Jew into a Christian and the beginning aspects of the Christian faith.

Individuals who enjoy watching television, film and video can often find a number of programs related to the apostle. For example, there are several videos which are part of a HarvardX course through the edX dot org website. Those interested in more independent studies of the apostle and these teachings, can often check out a variety of materials related to the subject at local college and public libraries.

While a lot of information exist from books, CDs, DVDs, and online video, the information is quite varied depending on the creator. In addition, while there are some representation of the original letters, the text can often be hard to read, much less interpret. As such, to learn the most, it is often advised that interested individuals attend a class, take an online course or visit a local church or synagogue to learn more about Paul and these teachings.

Several books of the Bible also represent the information held in these letters. While many religious scholars believe the scriptures to hold great meaning, others remain skeptical. As such, while the text found in Romans, Corinthians, Second Corinthians, Philemon, Philippians, First Corinthians, Galatians and First Thessalonians share in these teachings, not all believe the wording to be as accurate or meaningful as others.

As with other artifacts, such as those found related to Moses and the Wilderness, none give proof to the story of Christ and salvation. For, when it comes to Paul, the story the apostle provides is based on a ghostly vision, not a reality. As such, the letters and stories still require Christians to live a faith based religion rather than one based on proof of the existence of Jesus Christ in physical form.

When it comes to finding truth in religion, each individual must follow a singular path. For, while there are often missionaries and others whom suggest there is only one way to heaven, no one knows for sure. As such, most often those involved in higher belief systems have a personal relationship with a higher power or powers. While most individuals follow the path of an ancestor or ancestors, others find a different path through personal experiences and religious studies.

It should be noted that there are even differing beliefs within different sects of the Christian faith. For most, the faith involves believing in the unseen Father, Son and Holy Ghost, or the holy trinity. In most cases, it is believed one must personally and publically accept Jesus Christ as the son of God and personal savior to gain access to heaven and eternal life.
