The economic situation has improved over the years but this has not been felt by everyone yet.

Different organizations are responsible for these missions and the volunteers usually pay for their own fees as well as donations from other people. These fees do not usually include the airfare and visa needed to go there but only the accommodations and transportation needed when in the country already.

They would check the people for various health problems that might be affecting them in there. Specific conditions are being addressed as well such as providing eyeglasses to those having a hard time to see clearly.
