You should eat right. Experts advise people against excessive consumption of caffeine and sugar. This is because caffeine and sugar have been shown to increase heart rate resulting to chronic anxiety. Apart from causing anxiety, an individual can suffer from other psychological disorders. Eat balanced diets and avoid caffeine and sugars if it is possible.

Take a slow and deep breathe. Rhythmic activities such as breathing and laughing aid the brain to produce endorphins which makes the body calm. People who are suffering from anxiety usually breathe faster and thus taking slow deep breath can help them to calm down.

Try to calm down. Taking ten minutes to perform some healthy activities is a good way to invest your time. Wash your face and take a slow deep breath in order to release yourself. Above all, you can listen to some of your favorite songs or talk to someone. Avoid negative thoughts, they will pull you down.

You should try to identify what makes you stressed and uneasy. Write down a list of stressful experiences. Deal with those factors that are within your control and forget about those issues that are out of your control. Laugh. Scientists have proved that it is the best medicine. Laughter aids to reduce pressure, lifts spirits and helps you to connect with other people. You should come up with a hilarity bulletin board for music, comedies and television programs.

Exercise regularly. Exercise is one of the best and proven methods of reducing or stopping anxiety. During exercising, blood and oxygen flow to your brain thus relaxing your nervous system. Your doctor can advise further you on how to cope with stress.
