Your 3 Bureau Credit Report

By Lester Bautista

Credit reporting agencies -- also known as bureaus -- are private firms that collect details about your 3 credit reports from loan providers like banks, charge card corporations and student loan agencies. You'll find three major credit verifying agencies within the U. S. States: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion.

Its not all loan companies that use all 3 credit reviews. Most just pull one report, but you might have not a clue which one. Some might pull the 3 credit ratings and reviews, therefore it is good to possess a 3 bureau credit report. If you sign up for new credit from the new financial institution (a charge card, mortgage or a vehicle loan), the finance provider could easily get a duplicate of all three agencies' reports. As these credit reviews provide the most detailed and accurate picture of credit consistency, the loan provider will base their choice mainly on what specific reviews say about specific things.

Your 3 credit reports could be completely different from each other. Each loan agency works individually and lots of loan companies don't even report your repayments to help your credit score with all three bureaus. It is therefore entirely possible that all your three credit ratings are going to be slightly different.

The system is automatic, so errors abound. Probably the scariest part about credit reviews are they routinely contain errors. A 2004 study from the Public Interest Research Group (PIRG) discovered that quite a few reports contain errors. These mistakes can destroy your credit report, decrease your credit rating making it hard to buy a home or make you ineligible for a charge card. Check your 3 bureau credit report for errors and id theft. These errors may be harmless mistakes or an indication of id theft. Nearly ten million people in America fall victim each year (the number goes up and down each year, based on changes in technology and laws protecting consumers).

Before 1971, it was extremely difficult to see what information was in your credit history and whether it had been accurate. That changed with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, which was able to, for the very first time, buy a copy of your credit history and challenge falsehoods. The Fair and Accurate Transactions Act of 2003 (FACTA) did one even better, giving all U.S. people the legal right to request one free copy of their credit history every year from each one of the "Big Three" credit confirming agencies. The official website has many technical and logistic issues, however, so ScoreDriven offers a much easier solution called a tri-merge credit report.

The tri-merge report through ScoreDriven is a comprehensive report you can find online. The tri merge report is a 3-in-1 credit history (3 bureau credit report) that provides all 3 credit reports and scores in a single document- check out the credit package today for more information.
