Movies such as "The Secret" and "What the Bleep Do We Know" have attempted to teach people about the power of the mind and thoughts. Many have seen these movies, read the latest books on the "law of attraction," and attended seminars on manifesting and positive thought techniques. Yet, not many have actually been able to successfully make the law of attraction work for them. For most people, success has been far and few between. Why is that? What is the missing link for manifesting what we deeply desire? Becoming aware of your limiting thoughts is crucial, yet it is not enough. Just thinking and affirming positive thoughts will not enable you to consistently achieve your goals. You will need to go further.Ancient wisdom teaches that to achieve extraordinary results in life we must build up our energy, our inner power. Success in all areas of our lives---financial, business and personal, is not a result of education, social status or anything out there. It comes about through using our mind in a certain way and expanding our awareness.
Does the law of attraction mean the Universe will shower us with any amount of good things if we expect it to? Maybe, but I believe it is our attitude that helps us see the opportunities because we are looking for them. The same thing can happen to different people, such as receiving an envelope in the mail: one person will see it as a bad thing and may be frightened to open it while another will be eager see the contents as it may contain another opportunity.
In contrast to beta, the mind level states of alpha, theta and delta, are associated with states of relaxation such as meditation. As you access deeper levels of your mind, you can more easily connect with a higher force that is greater than you. These mind states are not restrictive but rather very expansive. They help to expand your awareness beyond ordinary consciousness. As you go deeper within into higher mind states, such as theta, you can connect with a higher force, to Infinite Intelligence or what some people refer to as the mind of God. As your connection with Infinite Intelligence becomes stronger, you become more empowered gaining insights, guidance and abilities that were formerly outside of your reach. Then, you will be in a much more empowered position to make the Law Of Attraction work for you and make changes happen in your life for the better.
It is not important to remember the details of the different mind states. The important point is to become aware that you can use the powers of these deeper levels of your mind to create a better world for yourself and for others.Ancient wisdom teachers, such as shamans and alchemists, teach that we are part physical and part spiritual beings. In other words, each of us has a spiritual counterpart. We all have a Higher Self, a higher force that always is trying to help us evolve and grow our personal power. It is through our higher selves that we get the guidance we need to live deeply happy lives, to make wise financial decisions, to heal our bodies, to choose partners for our highest good and to get insights on difficult life decisions.
In utilizing the law of attraction, you have the choice and consciously choose to think positively or negatively. If you remain positive you will attract good situations, but if you are negative you will attract despair. By being in positive state and ready to receive, you will automatically behave and act to change your environment to correspond to your desires. As outlined in the Secret, such law of attraction techniques will assist you in communicating positive vibrations to the universe. Above all, never ever give up trying to incorporate the law of attraction into your life to your advantage, and your circumstances will respond to you with your persistence. Many scientists and theorists from across the globe have come to the conclusion that everything is regulated and governed by a set of universal laws such as the law of cause and effect and the law of gravity.
These laws are set in stone so to speak and cannot be changed or altered in anyway, they apply to everyone and everything and are always at work whether we are aware of it or not.Among these universal laws is the law of attraction which states that we can attract that which we desire into our lives through the power of our thoughts and quite literally become the masters of our own destiny, or as Napolean Hill once quoted the "the captains of our souls".In essence the law of attraction attracts to you that which you desire most and that which you focus your thoughts on most!
But on the other hand, you likely have this deep feeling that a desire for money is evil. That rich people have somehow taken advantage of somebody, somewhere along the way. That they are somehow dishonest. After all, doesn't the Bible teach that the love of money is the root of all evil?Well, let's take a look at this from an economic perspective. Forget about morality or religion or anything like that. Let's just take a look at the basic mechanics of money and human action.
Many people associate the law of attraction with new age movements and similar practices, unfortunately modern media and uneducated bloggers and such like haven't helped matters! It's important to understand that the law of attraction was referenced long before any new age movement and even before western civilization had even gotten wind of any of the universal laws.To the best of my knowledge and knowledge of others it is said that the Buddha had been the first to really introduce mankind to the underlying principles of the law of attraction, although never directly referred to as such.

But on the other hand, and this is crucial, it's impossible to get that money unless you make people better off than they were before. So every single dollar that you have is a measure of how much better off you've made other people. The more money you have, the more people you've made better off. The more you've increased the net happiness of the world. Is that really selfish? Of course not. That's why Napoleon Hill, in "Think And Grow Rich," suggested that when doing any kind of money making visualizations, to visualize tons of people out there getting their needs met because of your actions. Because when lots of people out there are getting their needs met, you are getting paid.
